PROGRAM.

The State of Kindness academic scholarship program provides financial assistance to promising young students who want to further their education, achieve their goals and inspire others. Students with an academic willingness who have faced financial adversity become ambassadors to a connected network of diverse industry professionals, community leaders, mentors and program alumni.
Value
Up to $15,000 CAD per year towards eligible education expenses to any post-secondary institution tenable for up to four years of funding*.
Field of Study Requirements
There are no restrictions on the program of study or discipline applicants are enrolled in.
Conditions and Restrictions
Application deadline is March 31st.
Students must commence their studies in the same year as the application submission.
Students must be enrolled in full-time post-secondary studies.
Scholarship funding may be withdrawn if the student fails to maintain appropriate academic progress, fails to maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.7, fails to complete the program, withdraws from full-time attendance of the program or academic institution, commits a crime, fails to represent the State of Kindness Foundation as a positive and inspiring leader within the program.

NEXTEligibility Criteria
Click Apply Now to begin your application to the State of Kindness Scholarship Fund. You will be redirected to our application portal to complete and submit your application. You will require the following for your application:
1. Two Letters of Reference
Two Letters of Reference completed by a previous employer or teacher who knows the applicant well. The letter will require the following information:
- Detail the nature of the relationship and how long they have known the applicant.
- Describe the experience working and/or teaching the applicant.
- Discuss the applicant’s strengths, weaknesses, and their potential to success in their program of study.
2. Updated Resume
3. Most Recent Highschool Transcripts
4. About Me Section
- Written essay telling us about yourself and the reasons why you feel you would be a good candidate for the State of Kindness Foundation scholarship program.
- Identify your interested area of study and your career objectives/path.
- Any other information you feel is relevant and important to describing who you are as an individual.
- Maximum 750 word count.

- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Be a resident of Ontario.
- Be in their final year of high school, entering into full-time post-secondary studies in either a bachelor degree or diploma/certificate program.
- Have a cumulative average of 75% for grade 11 and available grade 12 marks.
- Have faced financial adversity.
